There so Much to Be Thankful For

Last Blog for the 2023 Year:

As the year 2023 comes to a close, I can't help but reflect on all the ups and downs it brought. It wasn't a year filled with endless rewards for my business, and money was tight. However, this is not unfamiliar territory for me. I've experienced numerous real estate market cycles throughout my life, and I've learned to adapt and thrive in the face of challenges.

While I may not have achieved my transaction numbers goals, I did manage to make significant improvements in my administrative processes. I took the time to evaluate and correct various aspects, which will undoubtedly benefit my business in the long run. Sometimes, success lies not in the big wins, but in the small steps we take towards improvement.

Health-wise, 2023 brought its own set of obstacles. Due to knee surgery, I wasn't able to participate in the 5k marathon that I had initially planned. However, I didn't let that setback discourage me. Instead, I focused on taking care of myself by adopting a healthier lifestyle and making conscious choices about my diet. Sometimes, it's the changes we make for our well-being that have the most significant impact on our lives.

While I couldn't fulfill my dream of going on a mission trip to Africa, I found solace in investing my time in Bible study and reading my Bible daily. Spirituality has always been an essential aspect of my life, and in 2023, I prioritized nurturing my faith and deepening my connection with God. Sometimes, the path we set out on takes unexpected turns, leading us to discover new opportunities for growth and fulfillment.

Additionally, I had plans to venture into the coaching side of my business, but circumstances didn't align with that endeavor. However, I made it a point to dedicate at least two hours of quality time to my loved ones. Building and strengthening relationships is just as important as pursuing professional goals. Sometimes, the most precious moments are found in the simple joys of spending time with those who matter most.

As I bid farewell to 2023, I am grateful for the readjustments and new opportunities it presented. Despite the challenges, I am still here, alive, and ready to embrace the coming year, 2024. With each passing year, I learn, grow, and become more resilient. I am determined to continue thriving, setting new goals, and seizing the opportunities that come my way.

Thank you to all who have followed my journey throughout the year. Your support and encouragement mean the world to me. Wishing you all a joyful and prosperous 2024!

With gratitude,

Roberta O'Banion
